ANNOUNCEMENTS
Reminder to all CSO that there is a STEAM work session meeting in the room 107 today, after school from 2:40 to 3:40pm. Please make sure you arrange rides homes at 3:40pm. There is a calendar request you should respond to in the calendar of your email. Only CSO students, not other volunteers, need to attend this meeting.
Start the new year with kindness! Social Issues Club is donating kindness bags and essential supplies to a local homeless shelter. From January 5–16, advisories are invited to collect comfort items, hygiene products, and shelter supplies. The advisory that collects the most items will win a pizza party lunch from Mrs. Trate. Thank you for helping make a difference in our community!
GUIDANCE:
W.G “Turk” Jones Scholarship will be awarded to any high school senior who is enrolled in an environmental field. The student must reside in Clearfield County. Applications can be picked up from Mrs. Lancaste. Deadline is February 27, 2026.
Gladys Tozier Scholarship: The applicant must be a resident of Clearfield county. This scholarship is awarded on the basis of need, scholarship and character. Please stop in the Guidance office for more information. Deadline: March 20, 2026.
Soroptimist Scholarship is open to any female who is willing to describe your volunteer experience with a 750 word essay max NO AI, willing to describe why you deserve this award in 300 words without AI, provide two written references, have permission from your parents to apply for this award, be willing to speak briefly at our club at award night May 4, 2026. Stop in the counseling office for more information. Deadline March 20, 2026
Clearfield Jefferson Suicide Prevention Scholarship: This scholarship will be presented annually to two deserving seniors in Clearfield or Jefferson counties. This scholarship is an effort to encourage those that are dedicated to helping with the prevention of suicide. For more information please stop in the Guidance Office Deadline March 31, 2026.
Anna Woodside Scholarship: Applicants must reside within Mid Penn Bank’s service area. Must be enrolled full-time at an accredited college, university or vocational school in the United States for the fall term of the 2026-2027 school year. Apply online through Mid Penn Banks website under scholarships. Deadline is March 31, 2026.
ATHLETICS: Any high school student who is interested in joining the TRACK AND FIELD team this year, please sign up in Room 207.

TODAY FOR LUNCH: The Bravo Bar on the left side of the cafeteria will be a Poblano’s Mex-American Bar this week. Choices such as Soft or Hard Shells, Tortillas, Tortilla Chips, Seasoned Beef, Chicken, Pork, & Nacho Cheese, topped w/Ranch Refried Beans, Rice, Mexicali Corn, & Salsa. The right side of the cafeteria will be offering- Bacon Cheeseburger on a Whole Grain Bun, French Fries, Fresh Cucumbers, Fruit, & Milk.
Breakfast and lunch are free to all students again this year. Please remember at breakfast, to take 3 of the 4 items. You must take at least ½ cup fruit or veggie with your breakfast. Also at lunch you must take at least 3 of the 5 components available which has to include a ½ cup of fruit or veggies. If you don't have a fruit or veggie you will be charged for a lunch.
