At Philipsburg-Osceola Middle School, we believe that participation in extracurricular activities is
fundamental to student growth, fostering teamwork, leadership, and a strong sense of community. To
encourage and celebrate this engagement, we are introducing the “4 Season Society,” a program
that will recognize students who participate in school-sanctioned activities during every season—fall (pre-season is in
summer), winter, and spring. This initiative will not only honor their commitment but also inspire
others to explore and invest in their personal development beyond the classroom. We do understand that many of our students participate in a plethora of activities outside of school, and that is fantastic. Sadly, without any relation to the district, they cannot be counted for this particular program.
Here are the 2024/2025 members of the POMS 4 Season Society:
    Harris, Aidyn,
    Demchak, Megan
    Foley, Lucas
    Mason, Brady
    Koptchak, Hayden
    Vaughn, Mason
    Matson, Sophie
    Spicer, Kesleigh
    Kronenwetter, Sarah
    Herring, Kalen
    Harmic, Evelynn
    Pelka, Lainey
    Smith, Ava
    Foley, Jonah
    Meek, Aiden
    Steinkamp, Aiden
    Kuhn, Jacob
    Meersand, Ayden
    Wood, Jonathan
    Karcewski, Ashley
    Brown, Allison
    Mclachlan, Courtney
    Martin, Gunar
Furthermore, the student who participated in the most school-sanctioned activities is considered the "Mountaineer of the Year", and this year's recipient, with 8 activities, is Sarah Kronenwetter. Sarah participated in soccer, the fall play, cross country, reading team, basketball, math counts, track and field, and the spring play!
Finally, thank you to the local businesses and organizations that contributed to the first year of the 4 Seasons Society!
Diamondback, Ace Hardware, Osceola Mills Masonic Lodge, Carpathian Club, Sez Sew, Pine Orthodontics, and the Osceola Mills VFW.
