Parents of Seniors,
On Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, the Philipsburg-Osceola School Counseling Program will take the Senior class to the Clearfield County Fairgrounds Expo 1 Building for the annual Reality Fair. This event is hosted by County National Bank (CNB) and provides seniors with an invaluable opportunity to gain a realistic understanding of life’s expenses based on their chosen career paths.
Students will have the chance to interact with representatives from various c...ompanies and learn about the costs associated with groceries, car insurance, cell phones, mortgages/rent, and more. This hands-on experience is educational and helps students develop a stronger grasp of budgeting and everyday expenditures. Many students find the event both insightful and enjoyable.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the Philipsburg-Osceola School Counseling Program.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Today, we were made aware of some rumors circulating among students regarding a potential threat to our high school. Our administrative team and school police officers took these concerns very seriously and immediately spoke with the students whose names were reported to us. At this time, we want to reassure you that there are no credible threats to our school.
In addition, we also received a few calls from parents asking if there was a threat, ...especially after seeing an ambulance at the school. Please note that the ambulance was here due to an unrelated medical emergency and had nothing to do with any school safety concerns.
As always, the safety of our students is our top priority. We encourage students to report any concerns immediately to a staff member so they can be thoroughly investigated.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support in keeping our school community safe.
Sincerely,
Daniel T. Potutschnig, D.Ed.
