Philipsburg Elementary recently held its 5th grade Student Council Elections. Twenty-five students ran for eleven open positions. Students could run for President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Representative positions. To run for a position, students had to receive teacher recommendations and write an essay on why they would like to be in the Student Council and how they will help Philipsburg Elementary to become better than it already is. The candidates participated in an election on Friday, September 27, including speeches.
